Visit the Rincón de la Vieja active volcano and National Park for a two-hour hike through a great forest. Encounter birds, monkeys, white-nosed coatis, butterflies, and a 40-foot waterfall (rainy season only).

Witness secondary volcanic activity, like fumaroles, sulfur hot springs, and boiling mud. This is definitely a unique and unusual photo opportunity. You also get to enjoy the waterfall Catarata Oropendula and jump in for a swim.

Then, visit the city of Liberia for a great lunch. We give you some free time to explore Liberia and shop for local coffee, liquor, and souvenirs.

The hike is of medium difficulty; please make sure you are ready for it.
